It is down to your liking and sharing that since we started this page just 14 days ago we have achieved a hell of a lot. SO WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED? 1. Andy Burnham has now sat up, took notice and admitted mistakes have been made and that the traffic situation is unacceptable. He even mentioned this page Enough is Enough JUST LIKE WE ASKED! 2. TFGM have sat up and listened to our complaint that none of us could attend meetings because of the location and times. They have now announced future meetings at more reasonable times and in our area. JUST LIKE WE ASKED! 3. TFGM have opened up and decided to answer our questions in Wigan Newspapers. JUST LIKE WE ASKED! (We wont mention the Twitter debacle for now!) 4. Local press & Radio have now taken up our story. JUST LIKE WE ASKED! 5. WMBC (on the orders of Andy Burnham) have now cancelled all impending extra road works (unless absolutely necessary) until this mess is sorted out. JUST LIKE WE ASKED! 6. TFGM have now announced (On Twitter on Monday evening) that the decision to close Astley St is being Reviewed. JUST LIKE WE ASKED! There have been other positive things recently too. We have also been contacted by other media outlets and also Wigan Council Media Department who we must add seem to want to assist us. At this time the message is... DO NOT STOP YOUR LIKING, SHARING AND PASSING ON DETAILS OF THIS PAGE. AS WE HAVE SAID BEFORE...WE ARE A LOUD VOICE NOW AND EVERY DAY OUR VOICE IS GETTING LOUDER. WE ARE A THORN IN THE SIDE OF THE CREATORS OF THIS MISERY AND WE NEED TO CONTINUE UNTIL THESE RIDICULOUS EXTRA ROADWORKS ARE STOPPED. At this point I think we should take a breath and think our next move through because now the Traffic Congestion has eased (DUE TO THIS PAGE). Things seem to be getting done. Wheels appear to be turning.
