THANK YOU for all the positive vibes! They paid off. Today we climbed our final peak of Colorados highest hundred (the centennials), Thunder Pyramid in the Maroon Bells Wilderness outside of Aspen. I was especially scared of this one since someone we knew of died on it last year and he was an extremely experienced mountaineer so it was weighing heavily on me. Thanks to Darrell Johnson, Steve Nicholls and Steve Cassin for being with us today! I believe in the power of numbers and people helping people and you guys really helped a girl out on this loose, shitty, dangerous mountain! It is in the top two of the most dangerous peaks Ive climbed, in my opinion. Anywho, Im incredibly proud of Keith and I for completing this journey together! Its amazing what you can do when you set your mind to it and with the help of all the friends that got us through the toughies ( Bob Dawson, Sharon Adams, Marlene Swift, Wayne Herrick). I must admit Im glad its over, having this goal that took us 15 years to accomplish was pretty awesome but wearing at times! There was a point today when I tumbled down the slope off an exposed ledge and if I didnt luckily come to a stop I wouldve gone over a large cliff and it wouldve had a bad outcome and this is where I think all of your positive vibes saved my beans! Do you know that as of the end of 2013 there are only 219 people as documented as completing the centennials and of those only 39 are women! Im sure there are more that arent documented and I know a few who finished this year but I thought it would be a lot more people so knowing that its not makes this accomplishment a lot more special to me! So FREAKIN WAHOO!!!!!!
