THE AUDACITY Obama has the audacity to say today that the economy is on the right path. Here are the facts: GDP is growing on the south side of 1.5%; unemployment and underemployment continue to be very high; wages are actually in decline; the national deficit is far higher than it has ever been; the Affordable Health Care Act is estimated, even by liberals, to push medical costs through the roof (most of this being felt by higher taxes to cover big subsidies); a TARP program that bailed out Chrysler and GM with tax payers money has yet to recover its funding; a stimulus of $800 billion wound up largely in the hands of the rich, with the poor being woefully neglected. Need we go on? Obama loves to claim that we are seeing job growth. Well, yeah?! Population is increasing. We have to have job growth just to keep even, or to avoid falling behind. Obama’s job growth actually doesn’t keep pace with population growth. . . His speeches state what sounds good and he thinks makes him look good with little regard for any reality. And since people don’t check on him, he gets away with it. Astounding and disgraceful. It shows this man’s utter disrespect for the intelligence of Americans.
