If appearances are deceptive, Are we not what we seem If masks are only facades Are we in a masquerade If each of us is an actor Is this life really a stage If every action is controlled by a string Are we just all puppets If beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder We all ought to be beauty queens If pride goes before a fall Most of us should have scraped knees,broken bones If the fruits of labour are sweet indeed Those of us left with a’ bitter taste’are branded ‘laziest!’ If we all looked before we leaped How bruise-free,hurt-free we’d all be! If Spring is really not far behind Winter How incredibly beautiful and colourful our lives should be! If desire is the root cause of sorrow Let’s all become ascetics in the Himalayas! If wishes were really horses Equestrian sports would rule the day! If absence makes the heart grow fonder Why do we keep coming back..... Finally,if speech is silver and silence gold Why the heck are we so fond of listening to our own darn voices!!!!??????? AND SO,THE BITTER BATTLE RAGES BETWEEN THE POOR,IMPRACTICAL ROMANTIC WHO LIVES IN A WORLD OF FANTASY AND WORD-PLAY AND THE NO-NONSENSE,RATIONAL,PRACTICAL MYTH-BUSTER!!!!
