The story takes place in 1926 in Brooklyn / New York and tells the incredible and exciting story of a 12-year-old newsboy called: Dylan Papermoon. It is the time of prohibition in the U.S. and this era is dominated by the notorious gangsters of those days. It is the era of tailored suits, feather boas, top hats and tails, the recovery of the high society with all its debauched Tätatä in the fine theatre, variety shows, speakeasies and bars. Immigrants of different nationalities arrive on Ellis Island. Hundreds of thousands flock into the city, to the land of opportunity, searching for their big chance,- chasing all their dreams. Thousands of people stand in line in front of factories, warehouses, piers and shipyards, searching for work. Poverty, hope, improvisation, Knickerboggers and the flat cap, dominate the streets of New York City. These are the golden 20s in which this story takes place.
