THE BIBLE SAYS: JESUS IS NOT GOD Page 10 TESTIMONIES OF JESUS ON THE EXISTENCE OF ONLY ONE TRUE GOD IN HEAVEN Mathew 23:29: Jesus said; And you must not call anyone your father here on earth, because you have only one father, who is in heaven. COMMENTS: What did Jesus mean by the statement above? Was he saying you must not call the man that gave birth to you as father? Did he not say in Mathew 15:4 that For God commanded; Honor your father and mother, and he who speak evil of father or mother, let him surely die. Did he not tell the Jews that You are of your father the devil and your will is to do your father desires? (John 8:44) Therefore, the statement of Jesus in Mathew 23:9 must have to be understood by everyone who has the sense of understanding. When he said; And you must not call anyone on earth your father because you have only one father who is in heaven he was just saying you must not call anyone on earth your God for you have only one God who is in heaven. THE FIRST AND GREATEST COMMANDMENT Mark 12:28-31 And one of the scribes come up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well, asked him (Jesus), Which commandment is the first of all? And Jesus answered him. The first is Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with your entire mind and all your strength. The second is this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.
