THE BOTSWANA CONGRESS PARTY HASNT LEARNT A LESSON AS THEY CONTINUE TO PROTECT DUMELANG SALESHANDO. BOTSWANA GAZETTE TUESDAY 18 2014 This past weekend the Botswana Congress Party held its elections leadership forum in Palapye, a village from which the BCP was first established in 1998. In the bleak of the general elections outcome top of their agenda was opposition cooperation in particular with the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC).Unsurprisingly the BCP leadership took a substantively repulsive and gluttonous decision to sideline fundamental aspects of a valid cooperation model with the Umbrella for Democratic Change( UDC) by cementing their gluttony and proposing that for BCP to be a part of opposition cooperation ,the UDC and its affiliate parties (BMD, BNF and BPP) should be dissolved and fresh cooperation talks initiated of which will see the birth of a new party. This has brought forth with it an accurate reflective analysis that indeed the Botswana Congress Party is a party established to propel the nation towards mystification, hysteria with an anti-regime change mandate set by the powers that be. The resolution espoused is persistent on revamping the already fading political careers of ballot box rejects in Vain Mamela, Annah Motlhagodi and the BCP’s leader, Dumelang Saleshando. After weeks of conceivably bashing of words concerning continuous appearances in public between the UDC President,Cde Duma Boko and BCP President,Dumelang Saleshando one can now conclude that it is erroneous in all aspects for the UDC President to continue being seen in public spheres in an amused state with BCP President. Part and parcel of the decisions undertook at their Palapye elections leadership forum was that if opposition parties’ cooperation was to be put into place, concession should be made in which the incumbent member of parliament for Gaborone Central constituency and Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) member, Cde Phenyo Butale was to pave way for BCP President, Dumelang Saleshando in the 2019 general elections. Francistown Member of Parliament, Cde Wynter Mmolotsi was also to give way to the mouse minded BCP veteran Vain Mamela. In assurance that all goes well on their part, not that of a nation parched for regime change, BCP’s Annah Motlhagodi is to be given the opportunity to face Cde Duma Boko in the primary elections for the Bonnington North constituency. Indeed a delusional and conceivably a misplaced discernment concerning the BCP has been portrayed over the past years in line with the party’s lucidity of opposition parties. In 1998 when loose cannons within the Botswana National Front broke ranks with it to form the Botswana Congress Party some sort to believe it was all made in good faith. To date questions concerning the so said need for the formation of the BCP have not yet been answered. Batswana should ask themselves why is it that all the time the opposition ranks are about to reach conformity the BCP bolts out? By now all should have noticed that they (the BCP) propose talks when they are in some trouble, and when it abates they run. The question at hand is why it is coincidental or has become a necessary pattern? Throughout the years prominent leaders of the BCP found a hideous habitat in co-investing with BDP elite, and family. This alone signals how vicious and well placed the BCP is under the current regime. Why is it that Dumelang has always been so lucky? While it was clear that Gobotswang could have led the BCP, all of a sudden a plan was contrived to make him leader? From where was this inspired? When he was standing for Gaborone Central in 2004, figures did not balance and it was clear he lost the election by just under 50 votes? Did you know that? The BDP elite then preferred to hold Nasha by the hand and not go to Court. Why? What was the strategic importance of such action? When the same BDP elite wanted to administer political death on Motswaledi, they though Gaborone Central would be slaughter house... When they realized that his political equity was tremendous, the contrived a plan to send him in exile to keep the constituency for Dumelang... why was it better to leave the constituency for Dumelang than keep a man who had not inflicted any harm on neither the political leadership of the BDP nor the BDP itself? As the BCP continue to smidgen, wrestle for power and deceive Batswana, he Dumelang Saleshando is not a saint. Saleshando continues to scheme and back stab his comrades to an extend that in Gaborone Central Village ward he was willing to fund a campaign for anyone who would contest BCP primaries against the elderly Boitumelo Ntsima. Ntsima like many of University of Botswana BCP activists have been used and dumped like trash by Saleshando. Their relevance to Saleshando is for them to lobby University students to vote for Saleshando and thats it. Where was Saleshando when Ntsima and other UB activists were being kicked out of school by his step mother?where was Saleshando when UB students were in need of the area Member of Parliament when Richard Khumoekaes led SRC was being kicked out of school?where was Dumelang Saleshando when University of Botswana students needed his utmost attention?Thats Dumelang Saleshando for You.. David Magang revealed that a certain multinational was which also employed and paid the Prof Price on some then BNF MPs and took them to London for a few days and in no time came the formation of the BCP.People are not aware that a certain so said late former CEO of a company in which the multinational is investing, the revered veteran of the BCP, Chair of the Court of Appeal and the 1st citizen were members of the Conservation Society. This is the same conservation society which the Saleshando’s and Khama’s have tremendous interest in. These resolutions adopted at the Palapye elections leadership forum by the BCP should on no account should they be entertained by the Umbrella for Democratic Change membership and leadership. The Umbrella has sacrificed way too much to allow a Botswana Democratic Party instrument of deceit to ruin the journey towards regime change. What needs to be derived at this juncture is the need to mobilise more numbers, more voters from both the ruling party and the BCP. The UDC needs to re-strategies on constituencies they lost, through severe campaigns, visibility and policy discourse. We as the young generation of this country need to hold firm to the principles and inspirations that have brought us up to embrace change and be regarded as the Moono Generation so as to assure an awe-inspiring build up towards the 2019 general elections. We are done with power mongers whom have failed to remain relevant during their era such as Michael Dingake dictating on how to move forward. He Dingake and Gobe Matenge in all regards should be booted out of the BCP for they are the sole seeds of mischief within it. By now the BCP should have learnt a lesson that UDC isn’t a toddler they so which to equal themselves to. The UDC in its own is a brand that sparkles in all directions sending a message of sequestration to its entire hecklers. The BCP President, Dumelang Saleshando knows best, he shall be forever be listed as one of the casualties of the moono generation whom had refused to put aside his gluttony for the sake of the nation, for the sake of the workers, for the sake of the youth and for the sake of future generations. In so doing I conclude by stating: The BCP should approach the UDC and Batswana with honesty for that we will embrace them. If they continue scheming to destroy Batswanas hopes then we will smoke them out of their schemes. ......BOTSWANA WA RONA Kabelo Masvingo Mhuriro UB-UDC Publicity Secretary Mhuriro.kabelo@yahoo
