THE BOTSWANA DEMOCRATIC PARTY (BDP) FINALLY THROWS A BONE AT ITS DOG!! During the past months, the entire country has been united in mourning the fall of a giant of our struggle. Messages of condolences have come from all over the country, giving a comprehensive account of the life of Cde Gomolemo Thatayaone Motswaledi. On no account can we pay our last respects and to celebrate the life of this departed hero besides ensuring a regime change. No doubt, he was one of the most outstanding thinkers and strategists of our movement, and indeed, his passing on closes an important chapter in the struggle for freedom and democracy in our country. It is truly the end of an era, given how the life of Gomolemo was intricately interwoven with the political history of this country. In addition, Gomolemo passed on just as the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) was in preparation for the general elections. He has played his role and made his contribution to the liberation of this country and its people, and contributed to the laying of foundations for a stable and prosperous society as the Umbrella takes office in 2019. He was a rare breed of a freedom fighter, making an invaluable input in developing ideas at the level of strategy and tactics of the Umbrella as its secretary general. He was one of the few political intellectuals who combined theory and practice successfully. With that said, it is important also to highlight some of the trials he so foretold, not as a prophet, nor a self-proclaimed character, but as a true flag-waver of this prestigious nation. Recently the BDP government went as far as raping Batswana of their lone right of representation by igniting an outrageous flare of trickery through the nomination of specially elected councilors. The BDP regime simply remunerated its losers with positions. Dogs were thrown into council. The appointment of Mephato Reatile, Macdonald Peloetletse, Kagiso Ntime and Alec Seametso as specially elected councilors would go down in history as treachery and of shear concern. Democracy alone has been raped; Khamarians are awarded positions for their long amenity of bootlicking, uncouth semantic and two-facedness defending the Khamarian government. It is perceived the Minister liable for such selection, Honorable Slumber Tsogwane when constituting councils; he took into consideration the experience, qualification, gender balance, youth and the disadvantaged groups within a locality. With these appointments, one can actually argue of what value Mephato Reatile brings to council, more so that now he has been voted as the council chairperson for Southern council. In which principal aforementioned does he fall? Another comical appointment is the appointment of Alec Seametso as Deputy Chairperson of Southern council, a classical council indeed. This Alec Seametso if some have already forgotten his assertion to fame: he is the Alec Seametso whom himself and the BDP President, Ian Khama turned political rallies into an insult tolerant platform, so doing transforming BDP politics to politics of stone age. In the past five years it has become unblemished that our Constitution itself is merely letters on a piece of paper for some characters. It will remain so unless there is a sincere and united effort by all Batswana to ensure that its provisions are extended to each and every corner of our society. In such context I find it fit to respond to the unruly hypocrite who found comfort in redeeming his resentful ego by throwing belly oriented mouse mind jabs at comrade Tawana Moremi alongside his equally hypocritical President. Alec Seametso has debased morality as it is in all nature with him then awarded a kingship price of being Deputy Chairperson. Ethics throughout the past generations have been concerned with a way of life which promotes the common good. Under Ian Khama’s regime ethics have been reduced to private morality. The ethics of social responsibility is now considered a matter of politics reserved for Ian Khama and his bootlickers. Knowledge, theology, and social behavior are confined to politically approved forms. Individuals, religions, academia and cultural leaders are now specifically told not to interfere in the running of their country. To oppose government policy, to oppose Ian Khama is now immoral. To attempt to liberate the people from these systems of oppression is a criminal offence. Social injustice reigns supreme, and this potbellied hypocrite Alec Seametso like MacDonald Peloetletse, he is enjoying the liberty of these ills. Using the taxpayer’s money, this binge abuser traveled national wide perpetuating a system he knows to be a lie, respectable people are indoctrinated by his and Khama’s propaganda, and the nation has become incapable of recognizing truth. As he continues to proclaim lies as truth, honesty has devalued. Botswana Democratic Party members are now allowed to practice deception with impunity, national integrity has been corrupted. Innumerable lives are thrown away by waging unwarranted wars on false premises primarily to boost egos. Our government itself has become corrupt. A government is expected to be the organ through which any society mediates its moral values to establish an accepted social morality which members of the society collectively regard as desirable. The government is expected to act as the moral arbiter of our society, and is entrusted with the supreme power to maintain the agreed norms of the society. The BDP led government has since pursued policies that negate the social morality and values it is supposed to uphold of which it has lost its position as the arbiter of society. That is precisely what has happened to Ian Khama’s regime, and why the whole country should find the BDP guilty of the ultimate crime of inhumanity and disregard of morality. Individuals are left to act on their own with no moral laws to guide them, no sense of responsibility, no awareness of guilt. The BDP government has set no moral standards but advocating on an unethical position. Everyone is now stained with corruption. The law is used for inhuman purposes; respect for the law has collapsed. BDP pit-bulls have become a law unto themselves; the law enforcement agencies have killed their conscience and engaged in unlawful acts also. Many of the victims of this immorality would reach a point where they are in a situation in which they could only exist by breaking the law, by telling lies about their belief and actions, or stealing in order to survive oppression. It is important to rebel against this immorality, and developed a culture of disrespect for the law, for Ian Khama, for his bootlickers. The worship and manipulation of government tax and policies to the accumulation of most of the country`s wealth in a few individuals hands, and the condemnation of thousands of Batswana to poverty has not gone unnoticed. There is no sense of national wealth, or of economic responsibility for everyone in society. Personal profit is accepted as the end which justifies any means. This intense growth of self-centeredness, combined with the belief that affluence is a rightful perquisite of being Ian Khama’s cheerleader, has led to a further deterioration of moral values throughout society. As Ian Khama continues to put political weight supporting this unruly behavior of Alec Seametso with draconian measures disregarding the rule of tradition and insulting Batawana born Paramount Chief in public, he should be advised that Kgosi Tawana Moremi is not Thapelo Olopeng, nor is he Botsalo Ntuane whom he toys around with. Alec Seametso is a well-known drunkard that strips naked in public domains when drunk who shouldn’t even have a whisker audacity to utter warped garbage about Tawana Moremi as he did. It’s important to note that political opposition is a vital aspect of democracy, but transition is damaged by those who use opposition not to support the quest for national transformation, but solely to promote themselves and their masters. Those who consider their civic duty is fulfilled by deliberately obstructing regime change are playing corrupt games with the nation. Opposition, like the ruling party, has a responsible role to play and we will defend our leaders with full arsenal when drunkards with potbellies assume positions of hierarchy unappoint by society but by individuals. Alec Seametso should desist from uttering garbage in rallies as his garbage was warped in heavy blankets awaiting his return from his national drinking tour. His ways of coercing women into prostitution await to be exposed. His laundry is as dirty as of a Kamasutra star. Having been turned into the cartoon of the century due to his drunkard-ness these past months on a BDF Airliner, I surely hoped he had learnt a lesson or two, but as tiny brained as he remains, sanity and remorse seem to be his greatest enemies after God. Clearly the UDC campaign has gained momentum. Smaller towns and rural areas have joined the campaign in increasing numbers. Batches of fellow countrymen are defying a variety of unjust laws and regulations in scores of small towns and villages. Regime Change in 2019 is inevitable to an extend that hooligans found it sane and moral to parade an ex-wife, mother of the heir to the Batawana chieftainship in public as means to gain public support. Intimidations across the country of UDC activists and leaders has also sky rocketed. In the face of this great upsurge, in yet another move to intimidate the people, offices and homes of UDC leaders are broken into with the hope of acquiring intelligence by DIS operatives. Apart from wanting to intimidate the people, the aim of this break in’s, as events are to prove later, is to find evidence for a major conspiracy trial, for the Ian Khama Government is desperately trying to cut off the leadership of the ever-growing regime change campaign from the people. Despite this wave of intimidation and brutality channeled towards our leaders, however, the campaign is growing in momentum. The Umbrella for Democratic Change is destined to win elections. As the Youth we have a unique contribution to make to the process of moral renewal which is at the heart of the UDC campaigns. Our imagination is not bound by the past, and the commitment is less restricted by the responsibilities of parenting. Education is being turned upside down by the BDP government, and the input of young people is vital in this as in other fields. Those in control of religious and political processes have the opportunity to open new fields of development to those who are young. The vision of a united transformed nation must be constantly before us. It is done by accepting responsibility for ourselves, not by blaming others. It requires a commitment by every sector of society to build a nation with a sound ethical base. Good people make good nations not motor-mouths like Alec Seametso .Cynicism, fear and frustration are driven out by rediscovering faith in ourselves and nurturing the spirit of brotherhood in our nation. We can achieve all this by the process towards Moral Summit Two will benefit from the many current enquiries, conferences, and initiatives into corruption, crime, transparency, and justice enforcement. Nations grow on the cultural roots of the people. They are not built from the top down, but arise from the experience of the citizens. Society is transformed by citizens with social awareness and social skills. The people must take the initiative to press their local leaders into united action. Municipal government can enable it, but not control it. Encouraging many local initiatives and organizations will involve people in institutional infra-structures which speedily produce skilled citizens. They also crowd out corrupt and criminal elements with a belly conscience. We need a national obsession to banish poverty instead of merely to accumulate wealth. We must all accept responsibility for changing an economic system that makes so many of our population poor. Greed and corruption have no place in nation building, a matter that Ian Khama should be heavily advised on. We have many specialized sectors each of which must play it`s part in building a just and powerful nation: State, politicians, religion, business and labor, education, the media, culture, sport and many others. We should encourage every part to engage in their own analysis of causes and solutions to the ethical challenge, particularly within their own field of responsibility. Each one can mount a campaign for a positive commitment to the rebuilding of OUR BOTSWANA. Our people, our nation of Botswana is moral! Our cultural backgrounds are strong! Our respect for our chiefs is above miraculous, just that pompous womanizers and drunkards like Alec Seametso have grown heads in their bellies and continue to enjoy such privileges through their alignment with Ian Khama. Residents who fall under the Southern council surely have been subjected to ridicule by the BDP. Alec Seametso demeaned the forefathers of the Bangwaketsi belittling their late chief in a public rally when he in Ian Khama attacked Batawana Paramount Chief, Tawana Moremi of which to date an admission of guilt has not yet been given. Today Alec is appointed as a Deputy Chairperson of the Southern council,a council in ngwaketsi region, surely even a sane individual can now see how the BDP disregard the rule of tradition and Bangwaketsi royals. Prior to the 2019 general elections as a cohesive youth, we should stand and defend the land we so cherish from reaching an absurd state in which it is heading. The BDP regime continues to feed its barking dogs with positions and lucrative rewards at the expense of our forefather’s hardships, dedication to national building and the continuous theft from taxpayer’s pockets. As a nation, as young people we should rise above all obstacles ahead and ensure regime change takes place in 2019. We can no longer permit woofing dogs unworthy of any societal relevance to hold positions of leadership and representation. THIS ARTICLE IS NOT LINKED TO THE MOVEMENT I SO BELONG TO,MY FAMILY,MY FRIENDS NOR MY GIRLFRIEND,IT IS WRITTEN IN MY PERSONAL CAPACITY AS A YOUTH OF THIS NATION.
