THE BRIDE IN RAGS: PART I Everybody please sit down, pleaded Peter as He frantically tried to control the curiously excited crowd! The Cameramen were fighting for spots for taking the best shot of the glamorous couple that has made headlines weeks without end! It all started when John posted, on the social media, pictures he had taken of the two lovebirds gloriously seated as King and Queen of the Havanala Kingdom! Extraterrestrial media reports had also circulated in outer space about how the woman who was initially married to a foul mouthed and dreadful tyrannical ruler, has now founded true love and is truly and happily married! Realising that his efforts were not yielding results, Peter climbed on an ant hill and motioned to the people to be seated! Fearing that the cooperation exhibited may not last, he immediately invited the first question from Paul Romans! Sir, Paul cleared his throat, we know this woman quite well, some cameras focused on the sea of nodding heads, she was married to the king Charm Tasan, this he said very fast as if to avoid mentioning the name at all. But Paul Romans is known for his courage, maybe that is why he was the first to be accorded the privilege of asking! Afterwards, he continued, her husband beat up her quite badly, stripped her naked and kicked her out, she could only afford rags that even became synonymous with her name! I mean, Paul revealed, there were sores all over her body, as far as I could tell, and no one would dare look at her; one would faint at the thought of embracing her and then to share the same bed with her! At this point, Peter, visibly upset at Paul Romans tirade against his friends wife, interjected and reminded Paul to go straight to the point as there were countless other reporters waiting for the chance to ask! Paul Romans then hurriedly asked; now sir, what could ever attract a man of your caliber and standing as you to such a sorry sight of a woman? Yeshua, not the least offended, looked lovingly at Paul Romans and courteously and succinctly answered answered, Love! Unsatisfied with the one word answer, Paul Romans mockingly let out; how much was the bridal price anyway? Another short answer came,my life. You have rightly described the state in which my dear precious bride was, Yeshua explained, her captor, Charm Tasan, deceived her into marriage and the sooner she fell for his charm than he started abusing, starving her, inflicting unimaginable pain, sickness and disease upon her! The only way she could ever have been freed was for someone to pay the price! He paused to give the racing mind of Paul Romans and others like him time to assimilate his words! (To be continued tomorrow in Part II)
