THE CIVIL ENGINEER’S Our Father, God Almighty Creator of Heaven and Earth You are the source of wisdom, talents and skills. Thank You for giving us these wonderful gifts and opportunities so that we may use them properly in the work you have entrusted to us Please open our hearts and enlighten our minds so that we may understand and be fully “in-tuned” with Your Divine purpose in calling us to the Engineering and Construction profession Please guide us together with our fellow professionals (Architects, Surveyors, etc.) and fellow workers (Foreman, Masons, Carpenters, Laborers, etc.) to be cooperative and responsible in our work in order to finish the required task. Please teach us to be humble, show respect to one another, and practice ethics and professionalism at the job site. Please keep up safe and stay away from any kinds of dangers from the job site to avoid accidents and casualties; and also please teach us to be honest in all of our dealings; to be fair and square to others. Lord God, You are the Greatest Engineer, the Structural Designer of our lives and the Sure and Strong Foundation to rely on, please infuse us even a little spark of Your Divine wisdom so that as we do our work properly in accordance to Your will. Lord God, make us Your instrument so that we may be always conscious and mindful of the fact that’s on our tedious and rigorous work depends on the lives and properties of our fellow humans. Also, bless us with the gift of love and sensitivity to respect the people who build and use the products of our work. We ask this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, Your begotten Son, Our Lord and Savior; through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, our Mother, and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
