THE Coral UK Open kicks off on Friday, with the afternoon session featuring the Preliminary, First and Second Rounds at the Butlins Minehead Resort, live on ITV4. The FA Cup of Darts sees the professional stars joined by 32 Rileys Amateur Qualifiers in the early rounds, with play being held across eight stages in Minehead. Fridays opening stages have been pre-drawn, with an open draw to take place from the Fourth Round onwards. The top 32 players from the UK Open Order of Merit enter in Friday evenings Third Round. Wes Newton, who missed Thursdays Betway Premier League Darts with tonsillitis, has withdrawn from the Coral UK Open, with his planned Third Round opponent Andrew Gilding receiving a Bye.
