THE DARKER SIDE OF THE MOON...A POEM...BY ME... Cure the world of all its fears But drown within your own despair? Rid governments of the sold And still reside lice in your hair? Distribute joys, fluttering hopes Then cry when your bones scream inside? Help the poor escape cold jaws Within your bleak glum cave then hide? Thaw hard ice that freezes blood Remain but not inside your mind? Open pathways for the lost Then fall apart and stay behind? Train promising falcons young But abandon all resolve? Turn their hopelessness to gold Your own troubles do not solve? Tis the darker side of the moon Seldom seen to full extent Rest awhile, exhausted flame Lest all your core is spent
