THE DAYS OF A YOUTH (Ecclesiastes 12:1) The days of a youth are very important to God. It is the time when he does not have many responsibilities so that he can lay the foundations for his future. Any man that does not know God in his youthful days will be struggling in life except God intervenes. The foundations of a building are very important and when you want to lay the foundation the first thing you will think of is how large the building is going to be and if the soil can take the structure. To break it down you have to lay a solid foundation on a good soil depending on how high you want to grow spiritually and physically. If the foundation or the soil is not good, you will grow and when the foundations cannot stand the storms of life the building will just collapse. When Jesus wanted to start his ministry he fasted for forty days, he was laying the foundation for his ministry. The time to lay the foundation for your life is in the days of your youth, this is the period when you have enough strength that is why the bible says that the glory of a young man is in his strength. Do not waste your days lusting after the things of the world. This is a trick the devil is using in our present society, 2 Timothy 2:22 says “flee youthful lust but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart”. As a youth the time to give your life to Jesus Christ is now, don’t hesitate, he is the solid rock which cannot collapse that’s why He is the rock of ages.
