THE FAMILY NAME. – There are family names that mean something based on the standard the family has set. If you meet any Kennedy from the famed family you might expect them to be a wealthy, Catholic, Democrat with political or civic leadership tendencies. However, there is sure to be those who are genetically marked as a famed Kennedy family member yet fail to reflect the family’s image. Obstacles of life or individual desires can obscure the recognition of a family member. Regardless of the outward manifestations the biological identity always remains intact. Behavior and circumstance can alter potential but nothing can ever change the undeniable mark of a blood line. Likewise, an individual who is born into the Family of God is forever undeniable according to the Blood of Christ. However, if an offspring of Christ does not continue to manifest the Royal Family character traits then as a result they will fail to inherit the benefits associated with their birth position. No one can buy, earn, win or lose a position of birth but it can be entirely wasted away in obscurity. “…If we died with Him, we shall also live with Him. If we endure, we shall also reign with Him...” (2 Tim.211&12) If we are personally associated with His death we have an eternal position of life but only those who continue to manifest the character and nature of the family of God will reign with Christ. There is wealth of purpose and a fortune of potential to be won or lost in association with the family name of Christ. Let’s intentionally walk in the pathway of our family identity to maximize our inheritance in our Fathers Kingdom for His glory. (vs.15-22)
