THE FIRST 5 QUESTIONS ON IELTS SPEAKING ARE: 1. What is your full name? (Many VN speakers give their PHONE!) 2. What identification do you have with you today? (I brought my Vietnam National Identity Card - or passport.) 3. Are you a student or a worker? (I attend a univ. here in HCMC; Im studying Business Administration.) 4. Where do you come from? (The worst possible answer: I come from Vietnam - so does everyone else!) 5. Can you tell me something about your family / home / hometown? Q. 6 to 8. A common topic, such as hobbies, sports, or watching TV (Do you like it? How often do you do this? What is your favorite? or Which is most popular? 9 to 11. A less common topic, such as flowers, birds, photography, the environment, endangered animals, restaurants, hotels, etc. NEXT COMES THE TWO MINUTE TALK, with one minute to prepare. Then, PART 3 FOLLOW-UP questions, maybe 4 , 5, or 6, depending on how long your answers are. These questions are NOT about YOU. They are about other people, your neighborhood, community, city, or country. In this part you should demonstrate your ability to use language to: Compare / predict / give reasons / discuss advantages and disadvantages or problems and solutions. TOTAL TIME 12 TO 14 MINUTES.
