THE GOD FATHER A man of Glory has fallen. Eria Sebunya Bugembe most of us knew him only as Kasiwuukira (imagining some rich powerful guy somewhere in Kampala- a self made Billionaire who worked his place to the top from nothing). We saw Kasiwuukira Distributors on those tapes back in the day. At some point when My favorite Musician DR. JOSE Chameleone in his very very early interviews was asked how he had conquered the African music scene in a snap, he mentioned its non other than Kasiwuukira- as his main Pillar having established a net work from DRC, Nigeria to South Africa promoting Uganda music and importing music to East Africa. Guy is said started by vending cassette tapes on Ben Kiwanuka, became a distributor, later investor then land lord and a Business Leader. A God Father of the Music Evolution in East Africa-he came- he saw - he conquered. Hard Work. Perseverance.Resilience. DEATH It is so tragic waking up to a bright day and logging in and seeing a lifeless victim all over your news feed on social media laying in a pool full of blood in the most brutal sense of the word. Now pundits say it was accident- very possible, others are saying an attack- hit and run- katayimbwa- copper- very possible. I believe the police will come up with the real answers--But I wish some one had CCTV on that wall fence at the scene- It is Muyenga I mean- where the super wealthy can afford the most sophisticated security measures for their homes, gates and fences- I hope some one in the Neighborhood had CCTV footage- I pray. The Police can at times dilly dally- Remember we still have unsolved mysteries in the Uwera case, Robinah Kiyingi, Kazini, Nebanda, Kandida, Ayume,Mayo etc...I wish there was CCTV footage in some of these too and someone uploads the stuff on You tube. Of course we shall give the police the benefit of doubt. UGANDA POLICE And talking of the Police, these guys can be so so Pathetic, did you see how the policemen threw the deceased like a Log on a Pick Up truck- Shh. Heart Breaking...but they do that every day. So sad that the Shs 412 billion Budget is for stocking tear gas, stealing, bribery, divertiion, monitoring Lukwago, Besigye and Mbabazi. How do they do this to Citizens, we criticized them in July 2010 when they were mishandling the victims of the Kyadondo bombings- same thing today even the next road accident will be the same story- they have a rescue, paramedic, ambulance service budgeted for. Now we pay the taxes. Not even gloves of 500UGX for protection of our brothers and sisters in the police force. The Police @100 is one of Ugandas Sad Story. In fact honorable men, Patriots like Kisiwuurika pay government billions in taxes each year, employ Ugandans in 1000s, has given his contribution in the development of this country and betterment of life for all only to be handled ruthlessly like this in the End. The police should seriously style up!! When we criticize such flaws some of you say we are opposition- Nope- We are Ugandans. Our Hearts and Prayer to family, friends and relatives of the deceased at this very difficult time. RIP.
