THE JEZEBEL SPIRIT IS NASTY!!! Scores of Christians are in one way or another connected to someone who has the Jezebel Spirit, which the same as having a Narcissistic Personality Disorder, either through marriage, church fellowship, withing the circle of friends, or at their workplace, causing them much pain, sorrow, turmoil, and headache in life. Those who possess the spirit of Jezebel are characterized by their feelings of self-importance! They have a sense of entitlement, and demonstrate grandiosity in their beliefs and behavior. They have a strong need for admiration, but lack feelings of empathy for others. These qualities are usually defenses against a deep feeling of inferiority and of being unloved. It is especially their inability to empathize with others that is so striking. On the contrary, a person who has the Jezebel Spirit is always busy pushing blame away from themselves onto others, and will not take responsibility for his or her wrong actions, no matter what; it’s always somebody else’s fault! THEY WILL NEVER ADMIT ANY WRONGDOING AND THEREFORE THEY SEE NO REASON WHATSOEVER TO REPENT OR APOLOGIZE FOR ANYTHING THEY HAVE DONE WRONG!!! Thats right! THEY ARE NEVER WRONG!!! You will be fighting an uphill and hopeless battle with people like that! That is the reason that Jesus Himself said about the woman Jezebel in the church of Thyatira; I gave her time to repent, BUT SHE DOES NOT WANT TO TURN AWAY from her immorality!!! (See Revelation 2:21) She simply does not want to understand the Biblical principle that says “Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.” Philippians 2:3-4 NLT People who possess the spirit of Jezebel are also the type that will act religious, but WILL REJECT the power that could change and make them godly. But as I said before, they absolutely see no need for change or repentance, because it is impossible for them to admit that they do anything wrong! The Bible says to “Stay away from people like that!!!” (See 2. Timothy 3:5)
