"THE KID" and I were on the Pitch today ran into one of my coaching mentors IAN RILEY. IAN CAN GET DIRT to play soccer hes sooo good at teaching. A master at his craft for sure. THE MOST awesome experience I ever had was watching him coach 125 kids ages 8 - 15 one hot summer day WITHOUT SAYING A WORD. Yes it was a silent practice and it WAS AWESOME. The kids had a great practice. Soooo many coaches think they have to tell their players what to do every single minute of the game. Thats not coaching thats failure to coach.
