THE LAW OF HONOUR Anointing flourishes greatly in an atmosphere of honour...even Jesus anointing could not perform when it was dishonoured (Mark 6:1-6)...Anointing always flow to where it is honored not where it is needed! God will withdraw what He gives...when the law of honour is not in the equations. #1. Honour can stop war.....(1Samuel 25:25-31) The root of all war either in the homes, society, community , business organisation or nations ...is manifestation of disrespectful words and attitudes...Nabals foolish words of disrespect to David spark war...but Abigails words of honour to David stopped the move of war towards Nabals house. (1 Samuel 25). Every woman should master the acts and word of honour to minister peace and stop war in their homes...Admirable words and character of honour will impact far better in your spouses life than nagging, correction or fiery preaching...Dishonour can spark war, and honour can stop the move of war towards you #2. Honour can change a mans emotions, decisions and behaviours...( 1Samuel 25:32-35) Abigail words of honour changes David emotions from an angry man to a loving understanding man ...She reminded David of his lofty future in the palace, she treated him as a king not a runaway servant that her husband, Nabal, called him...The way you see your husband is the way you will treat him...Though David is living in the cave escaping from the anger and jealousy of his boss, King Saul, but Abigail sees him as a king and treated him the same not as runaway servant..she spoke to his future not his past or present..The way you treat people will determine their emotions towards you...How do you see your husband? #3. Honour is the key to unlocked closed heart....( Esther 7:1-10) Esther truly understood that honour is the key that will unlock the heart of the king Esther used honour to open the heart of her king...she knew the incredible power of honour that can open locked heart..instead of focusing and wasting her energy on the hatred of her enemy rather she shifted her focus on the celebration of her lover..her respect for him was the ceremony of the banquet...instead of preaching, nagging or talking...she ministered to him with her admirable words of respect and character..before the end of the banquet he enemy, Haman, was in serious troubles! #4. Honour is the best environment for the manifestation of the anointing and miraculous...(Mark 6:1-6) where there is no honour for the men or women of God, there could be no mighty works of God...Dishonour of the men or women of God sent into your life will limit the flow of Gods power over your life personally...When we dont honour our pastors, spouse or superiors, we will not be position to enjoy the mighty works of God...when people focus on what they know about their men of God in the past as the people of Capernaum did...miracles are lost and even destinies are jeopardized! #5. Honour will position you for the double portions... Every tragedy and failure in life can be traceable to a moment of dishonour ...also every blessing and success in our endeavour can be traced to our decision to show honour...Elisha received the double portion of his masters anointing because he served and honored him faithfully (2 Kings 2)...Unwillingness to give honour to whom honour is due is the major factor why many remain small in life...Honour is not idol worshipping, it is the protocol of the kingdom...it is etiquette of the kingdom table of blessings (1 Tim.5:17) #6. Honour helps to preserve our destiny....(2 Kings 1:9-15) David choose to honour King Saul as the anointed despite his backsliden state as the King of Israel and hatred for him (1 Samuel 24:10). He refused to kill him when he had all the opportunities but treated him as the Lords anointed my master....These attitudes of honour helped to preserve Davids future as the next king of Israel...We must choose to honour both in public and privately...David chosen to honour his master, King Saul both privately and publicly!...Absalom died prematurely because he refused to honour his father...Lucifer became the devil because he refused to serve under God... #7. Honour is the trigger point to favour...( Malachi1:6-8) Dishonour is the thorn in your nest of favour...Respect is the ceremony in the banquet of favour...your attitudes should show respect, many times our attitude is the favour killer, not the devil...Your attitudes must show respectful honour...Respectful honour can unlock unexpected dams of favour towards you...Your attitude speaks louder than your voice...In the economy scale of heaven, your attitude carries more weight than your actions and words in the realm of the spirit...It is the difference between the offering of Abel and Cain!
