The Secretary’s report was approved as given. There was a review of the financial status but no official report was presented. Thank you notes were received from the Minnesota Lions Vision foundation and from the local Relay for Life committee. Old Business: Lion Terry Czech, Bingo chairman, reported one Bingo session was canceled due to not enough participants present. Otherwise Bingo has been going well. Lion Terry passed around a sign-up sheet for future Bingo sessions. Lions Pancake Breakfast: Lion Steve Theis reported things were going well. He passed out tickets for pre-sale. A sign-up sheet for workers was also passed around. In the past, the Cold Spring Lions have assisted the Cold Spring Chamber of Commerce with Breakfast with Santa, for the local youth. The Chamber has decided to pursue a different program this year so we will not be asked to help. New Business: Lion Curt Fischer suggested the club buy and put out trash receptacles along the new trail. Lion Fischer agreed to talk with the Cold Spring City Council to see if they would remove the trash if we put out the receptacles. Lion Fischer will report back on his findings at the next meeting. The gambling report was given and approved. An awards committee was appointed by Lion President, Ken Salchow. It will be made up of Lion Frank Kaufman. Lion Dick Bakken, Lion Linus Dingman, and Lion Ken Salchow. There first scheduled meeting was October 14th. The next general meeting will be October 23rd at 6:30 PM at the Blue Heron.
