THE MEANING AND THE DESCRIPTION OF HELL FIRE - PART 15 THE MEANING OF HELL These words - Hebrews SHEOL and Greek HADES generally mean the same thing and refer to the same place: The place of the dead; the abode of the departed spirits of sinners between death and resurrection. It is a place of torment. Yet, sinners will still be released from there to face The Great White Throne Judgment from where they will be sent to THE REAL HELL - GEHENNA meaning THE LAKE OF FIRE along with SHEOL or HADES itself. Revelation 20vs11-15: And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell (hades) delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell (hades) were cast into the lake of fire (gehenna). This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire (gehenna). The Greek word HADES of the New Testament has the same scope of signification as SHEOL of the Old Testament. It is a prison (1 Peter 3vs19), with gates and bars and locks (Matthew 16vs18; Revelation 1vs18), and it is downward (Matthew 11vs23; Luke 10vs15). The righteous and the wicked are separated. The blessed dead are in the temporary place called Paradise. Like 23vs43: And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. They are also said to be in Abrahams bosom: Luke 16vs22: And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Hades is temporary abode of the spirits of the dead sinners. They will still be released from there to face judgment at the end. HELL IS SO REAL AND IT IS A VERY TERRIBLE PLACE TO GO TO. YOU CAN ONLY ESCAPE HELL FIRE BY TURNING TO JESUS CHRIST. IF YOU ARE STILL UNSAVED, TODAY IS THE DAY OF YOUR DECISION: CONFESS, REPENT AND BE CONVERTED! ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD AND PERSONAL SAVIOR NOW! THE NEXT MOMENT MAY BE TOO LATE FOR YOU.
