THE MONTH OF DIVINE DELIVERY As we enter the ninth month of the year, the message for you to hold unto is that the time has come for God to deliver into your bosom every good and better thing you have yearned for over the past days. This is the month of divine delivery, when showers of blessing shall wet all dry grou8nd, water up each followed terrain and turn all gullies into sweet flowing rivers of grace, mercy, favour and abundance. In the Mighty Name of Jesus. As September opens up, you shall not be among those who harbor fears of ‘mber’ (which is a coinage that reminds one of the Igbo word, mba – ie. Never). In this month of September, ‘mba’ shall not be your portion, but you will continue to expand and flourish, goodness and peace are yours, happiness and pleasure shall not depart from your dwelling place, any form of morning or agony in your life shall turn to dancing and rejoicing, because the Lord will deliver unto you the secrets of satisfaction. The fire of his grace shall burn all negative forces that sail against you, as Jeremiah 36: 22- 24 leads us to believe: (New International Version - NIV) - 22 It was the ninth month and the king was sitting in the winter apartment, with a fire burning in the firepot in front of him. 23 Whenever Jehudi had read three or four columns of the scroll, the king cut them off with a scribe’s knife and threw them into the firepot, until the entire scroll was burned in the fire. 24 The king and all his attendants who heard all these words showed no fear, nor did they tear their clothes.- Other Bible references about the delivery of good things in the ninth month appear as follow: Ezra 10 verse 9 hints about an abundance of rain and showers of blessing to come, even as the people hastened unto the call of God’s anointed prophet: - Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month; and all the people sat in the street of the house of God, trembling because of this matter, and for the great rain.- Zechariah 7:1, 8 & 9: tells what to do to garnet blessings of divine delivery, but reminds us that to obey is better than sacrifice … - 1 In the fourth year of King Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah on the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Kislev … 8 And the word of the Lord came again to Zechariah: 9 “This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. 10 Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other.’ Jeremiah 36 verse 9 tells us that one of the secrets to gaining divine delivery comes true proper fasting: And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the Lord to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.” Incidentally, September was the seventh month of the old Roman calendar. In this calendar, the year began in March. But the Julian calendar reform shifted the start of New Year back two months to where it is now: January 1. This change made September in the new calendar the ninth month and one of only four Gregorian months with 30 days. It has long been regarded as a number of perfection, luck, and wonder; akin to being in a state of everyday bliss and seventh heaven. On the Biblical calendar the month of Kislev is the ninth of the year, which includes the week of Chanukah. Among other things, Chanukah represents an appropriate time to kindle the lights of faith. The month of Kislev is sometimes called the month of dreams because the weekly Torah portions for this month contain more dreams than any other. Some of the commentators think the name Kislev comes from a root that means trust or hope. In the Scriptures the root appears in several places, including: … And they placed in God their hope - Psalm 78:7. However, it should be noted that ‘The 24th Day Of The 9th Month’ refers to the time of atonement for Israel as a defiled nation and Haggai 2:10-14 dwells on the need for us to seek repentance and salvation from all our sins in order to enjoy God’s promises. All this, therefore, reminds us that the promises of his divine grace abound, but we can only reap from them once were avoid sin.
