THE MUHARRAM WORKSHOP NEEDS YOU Bismilla hir rahmaan nir Rahim Dear Sheikh, Heads and Executive Committee and Teachers, Assaalmunlaykum. WE are looking for teachers to come and help out and teach in the Muharram Workshop. We are planning to inshallah create a ‘production’. Najm and Shams The children in Najm and Shams in groups have chosen a shuhadah they would like to write about. I have given them time to research it in lessons. Their aim to emotionally evoke the audience. In the workshop time they will be trained by a teacher on how to retell this in an effective manner inshallah. For the children who are not speaking there will be an opportunity to recite Ziyarats of the shuhudah, marthiyas, nauhas and Hadeeth e kisa. ICT work etc. Qamar and Hilal For the younger ones, I have the idea of them creating a props, discussing their learning and reciting marthiyas and short Ziarats. Sharing what they will do for Imam Husayn. Kawkab The Kawkab aged children could work on retelling hadeeth e kisa in English. For this to take place you can imagine it will take a lot of your help and support and I appeal that you give this to me. I need you to teach and promote others to teach the workshop. Especially parents, previous students, quraan teachers and maddressa admin. I need technical support, people to help coach children recite and coach in public speaking. Lots of help- so whoever is able to come please come and inform me if you can help. The dates and timings of the workshop inshallah are on: Saturday 9th November and Sunday 10th November Saturday 16th November and the final presentation ready for parents on Sun 17th November. The timings are between 11.45- 2.30pm Please I appeal to you all for your support in the Azadari for Imam Husayn to create a vigour that will inspire children in the love of Imam Husayn and his Shuhadda. With duas Rubaina
