THE MYSTERY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS: Genesis 3:15 says, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” John 8:44 further declares that, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” Righteousness refers to simply the life and nature of God. It is the right standing with God. Righteousness is the ABILITY to stand in the presence of God without any sense of shame, condemnation and inferiority. The scriptures above unveil to us a kingdom mystery that enables one find rest in our Lord Jesus Christ. The book of Genesis chapter 3 and verse 15 reveals to us the hostility that God Almighty personally put between the devil and the woman and between the devils offspring and that of a woman. Now, it is interesting to note the parts that the scripture reveal that will be the targets of attack. The devil’s HEAD is to be CRUSHED and the HEEL of the seed of a woman is to be STRUCK. The seed of the woman refers to Christ and us believers in Christ. In view of the above, let us draw our attention to the importance of a HEEL in our daily lives. It will be observed that a HEEL enables one to STAND. In other words, this gives one a RIGHT STANDING without staggering. Right here, righteousness was being revealed to us. Now, the question is, how does the enemy attack your righteousness (ability to stand in the presence of God without any sense of shame, condemnation and inferiority)? The scripture in Genesis 3:15 show that the offspring of the devil will strike your HEEL (righteousness). A further question to ask is who are the offspring of the devil? The bible in John 8:44 declare that the devil is father of LIES. In other words the offspring of the devil are his LIES. The lies of the devil are the ones that strike your HEEL (righteousness). Stop listening to the lies of the devil! Stop speaking what is happening and begin speaking what is WRITTEN. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Awake unto His Righteousness. By the stripes of Jesus, you WERE healed. Jesus became poor so that through His poverty, you should become rich. The Lord is your shepherd, you shall NOT WANT. You are COMPLETE IN HIM who is the head of all principalities. As you declare this, you are crushing the HEAD of the devil, glory to Jesus! Have a blissful day and AWAKE unto His righteousness!!!!
