THE POWER OF A WOMAN…was demonstrated once again to my admiration -yesterday. The driver of a commercial vehicle that we were traveling with had a clash with another man (a passenger) who felt the driver was wasting too much of our (passengers) time at their transit terminal in Benin. What should be a minor misunderstanding almost snowballed into a physical blow. You know Nigerians nah…e nor dey take time before them begin point each other for face. Just as the voices were rising and the men were threatening to DEAL with each other (moving closer to themselves with every threat)…a wife to the other man (that engaged the driver in a shouting match) calmly walked closer to the scene and all it took for her man to go DUMB immediately was a CURT ‘’PATRICK STOP THAT RUBBISH’’…Wallahi,I pinched myself tire o. I mean that’s a man that was threatening to beat up his fellow man and wouldn’t even listen to other passengers that were appealing to him to let things be. Yet, it wasn’t a DARLING PLEASE that it cost his woman to put an end to the whole rubbish (borrowing her expression o)…but a CURT command. Some women get power o…I still dey pinch myself.
