THE SALVATION OF THE PEOPLE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT! If we agree with this truth that after Adams fall we were fully separated from the Holy God and that only someone righteouss could conquer death and bring forth salvation to all mankind. Then we understand that Christ was the ONLY option and way to the father. Because JESUS being without blemish, and the only righteous, who knew no sin was made to be sin SO that in HIM we might become the righteousness of God. So how do we explain the salvation of men like Job, Moses and Abraham who lived in the Old Testament but yet were counted as righteouss and justified without the redeemer yet present in flesh, crucified and raised from the dead? These men were counted as men justified for this reason alone: they trusted and saw that in their unrighteousness and mess the God who loved them would send His only son to reconcile them to himself, not counting their trespasses against them. In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God. (John 1:1) When Abraham was counted as righteous for his faith it was ONLY through Christ, by the Holy Spirit to the father. Christ was present. But for our sake and HIS GLORY he took the form of men, bore the sins, took the wrath that instead we all should have taken and spoke these words It is finished so that the prophecies could be fulfilled, so that we could be justified. He did it for Abraham in the days before his birth, he did it for me and he did for you. That if we believe in Him we may have eternal life. This is why when the Jewish leaders confronted him asking him Are you greater than our father Abraham. Who do you claim to be? Jesus responded YOUR ANCESTOR ABRAHAM rejoiced that he would SEE my day; he saw it and was glad. Ahhhhhhhh My father is faithful.
