THE SEVENTH LESSON The Law of the Dancing Demon - Your enemy is your greatest teacher. What I got out of the 7th lesson was that our enemiesadversaries serve a purpose in life. They help us grow, and provide obstacles that compel us to evolve and transform and pose an opportunity for spiritual growth. I must pick and choose whether or not to dedicate my time and energy to engaging the enemiesadversaries, as this drains me of my spiritual resources for the things that matter most. I need to contemplate whether or not to expand my spiritual energy. Not every fight is worth fighting, I need to pick and choose my battles. As Buddhist has said "Your enemy is your greatest teacher." Our adversaries perform four essential functions: 1) They place barriers between us and the things we desire, which prod us to grow and evolve. 2) They provide opportunities for divinity, generosity and grace. 3) They expose the aspects of our being requiring attention. 4) They illuminate the borders of our spiritual landscape so we can better identify those energies with which we are most in sync.
