THE SUNDAY ROAST Three wins, two losses and a tie yesterday as our season hit the half way mark. First XI: Boisdale-Briag 144 (Cairns 3/35) def by Bundy 5/252 (High 77, Dowsett 52, Saxon 51). A big percentage boosting win puts the boys on top of the ladder at the break. Karl High produced his best game for the club, while Cairns fine season continued with 14 wickets to date. Second XI: Bundy 7/146 (Knight 54*, C. Rowley 42) def Boisdale-Briag 134 (D. Rowley 5/10, Knight 3/6). Got the win they were after, and now only sit one game out of the top four. Classy effort from young gun Zach Knight who carried his bat and also picked up a few wickets. Third XI: Bundy 121 (Schuback 27) def by Sale 8/134 (Brideson 3/10). A disappointing loss for the boys who fielded a good side. Some disciplined bowling and fielding by Sale proved the difference. Still remain in the top four. Fourth XI: Nambrok 102 (Cook 3/12) def by Bundy 5/227 (A. Ward 53*, Burnett 50*, Fuller 50*). Big win for the dream team, to move into second. Johnno Cooks terrific season continues, with the talented youngster taking 17 wickets for the season already. U16: Maffra 7/80 (Barnett 3/11) def Bundy 9/68. Disappointing performance by the kids who simply didnt get enough runs. Declan Barnett bowled well and Tom Glenn took 2/7. U14: Bundy 4/88 (Wynd 20*, Glenn 20*, N. Whitford 18) tied College 5/88 (Lochie Scott 2/7). The clubs most exciting team produced another exciting result! Wynd and Glenn were again outstanding. Sitting second on the ladder at the break. Dont forget the Christmas Break-Up is on today from 12noon at the clubrooms, Santa will be there sweating it up in his suit, free BBQ lunch and lollies for the kids plus the Young Guns will take on the fossils on the main oval. See you there!
