THE Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) youth council believes there is unfair advantage and lack of a level playing field approach practised by Prime Minister Rear Admiral Voreqe Bainimarama in the lead-up to the general election. Council president Peter Waqavonovono said Rear Admiral Bainimarama continues to use State resources such as vehicles to attend community development projects and events. Mr Waqavonovono said the PM was using public and government-sponsored events to promote his proposed political party, while discrediting other political parties. A number of young people have raised their concerns about the unfair advantage Rear Admiral Bainimarama flaunts while supposedly promoting a free and fair electoral process, he said. Even in his official speeches, he campaigns and promotes himself and the Ministry of Information distributes these releases with clear campaign undertones, such as announcements of chiefly endorsements of Rear Admiral Bainimarama and his party. fijitimes/story.aspx?id=262951
