THE TONGUE : BY Lambert L. Martin The tongue is like a raging fire It rages on and wont expire. The tongue has cost us many friends, It waggles on and never ends. The tongue can make the man a fool, More than any other tool. The tongue will curse the God above, And put a blaspheme on His love. The tongue is suck a little thing, But many miseries it can bring. It defiles the man each day, And with a word takes love away. The tongue is very hard to quiet, And many times you have to bite, The tongue to keep it in control, Before it takes its nasty toll. The only way found, To keep this little fellow bound, Is to put it into prayer, And with an effort keep it there.
