THE TWELVETH MONTH! There was a king, who happened to be a ruler over a great kingdom. He recorded great success during his reign, and was overwhelmed by his affluence and power that he lost regard for God. He felt all his possessions were by his own power, thereby seeing no need to reverence God; the fear of God wasnt in his heart! But one fateful day, at the end of TWELVE MONTHS, he walked in the palace as usual with so much arrogance and pride, unknown to him that this time, he wasnt going scotch free; judgement was near!!! (An adage says: Everyday for the thief, One day for the owner.). While he was yet speaking in arrogance, the wrath of God fell on him! God pronounced instant judgement on him; the kingdom he thought he had power over was taken from him, he was sent to go and live with the beasts and eat grass with them for seven years until He learns to recognise the place of God, fear God and never take His grace for granted! (May we not fall under Gods wrath!) Imagine a man eating grass for seven years, till his hairs were grown like eagles feathers, and his nails like birds claws!!! Nebuchadnezar learnt humility, how to fear and reverence God in a very hard way! Though, God restored him after seven years back to his normal state; but how many always have this second chance??? (Daniel 4:29-37) In the twelveth month, at the end of the last month of the year, most workers always receive their normal wages/salaries but with incentives/bonus! In the same vein, as the twelveth month is a month of extra great blessings/harvest and rest from labours for those who fear God, it is also a month(just like any other day/month), where Gods wrath will be poured out! Being the last month, doesnt exempt it from being a month where punishment can also be meted on the wicked who fails to repent; because the Word of God says: No sinner shall go unpunished! Moreso, In the last month of the year, many choose to give up on their expectations and move it to the following year; but for some importunate children of God, who can prayerfully claim their inheritance; it still appears to be a month of Dominion, Divine favour& Gods Visitation! My beloved brothers/sisters, arent you also exhibiting pride and arrogance towards God? You may say NO; but any man that is not living in accordance with Gods Word is exhibiting pride and arrogance towards God! Such person is indirectly saying: Leave me, I know what am doing, Ive got some other words to obey which is more convenient than Yours. Such person doesnt have the fear of God; because it is the fear of God in our heart that helps us to obey Christs command!!! Beloved, instead of being carried away by the distractions around; why not use this month to take a stock of your life, and retrace your steps back to God! What ways have you been going contrary to Gods Word? Havent you reduced your devotion/commitment to God? Havent you reduced Gods standard of Holiness and compromised your christian faith to please that man/woman? Havent you allowed His gifts upon your life to make you feel superior and look down on others??? Remember Nebuchadnezzar; dont wait to learn how to obey God in a hard way! Repent Now! God is taking record of the way we spend our life; and at any second, minute, hour, day, week, month, year; He can decide to give you your reward, either commendation or condemnation based on the life we live! Revelation 22: 12 says: Behold I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Dear one, why not go back to the feet of the cross, and make your ways right with your Saviour now; tomorrow may be too late! GOD BLESS YOU AND REMAIN RAPTURABLE!! THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!
