THE WEATHER FOR TIS WEEK Very cold start but mostly dry Monday [Updated 07:15 24/03/2014] FrostMonday begins with a widespread frost and some of the lowest temperatures weve had for a long time, with isolated locations recording -6C (21F) and most of the country below -2C (30F). The exception is the west of the UK where increasing amounts of cloud have kept it milder. As we go through the morning rain will push into Cornwall and become more widespread this afternoon across western regions and Northern Ireland. Elsewhere remaining dry with sunny spells for much of the day, but cloud is likely to build this afternoon causing the risk tonight to be confined to the north east. During Tuesday the brightest weather is likely in the north east but elsewhere a good deal of cloud and the risk of patchy rain. Possibly feeling very cold across southern and central parts of England under cloud and rain. By mid-week an area of low pressure moving in from the east is keeps things showery and quite nippy, but by the weekend there is a chance of winds turning to more of a south easterly direction with brighter and warmer weather returning. Its too early to be sure but the coming weekend could be a pleasantly warm one. Buzz will keep an eye on the latest prospects. Finally, the new version of our web site is almost complete but the go live date has been pushed back to next week.
