THEFT WARNING: There has been a rash of package thefts off front porches. The Ferndale Police Department have made several arrests in some of the cases, but they also have some tips to help you and your neighbors: • Pick up packages from the shipping company (no home delivery). • Have relatives/neighbors/friends pick up packages from your home soon after delivery. • Let neighbors know you are expecting a package and keep an eye out for it. • Have packages delivered via delivery confirmation, etc. (needs signature). • Have someone remain at residence the day of scheduled delivery. • Report any suspicious people near residences.
