THEME: ABOUNDING IN THE WORK OF GOD TEXT: Can the rush grow up without mire? Can the flag grow without water? Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb. So are the paths of all that forget GOD; and the hypocrites hope shall perish: Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spiders web. - Job 8:11-14. COMMENT: It is our heart condition, which must be right with GOD, and our ability by GODs grace to translate the vital beliefs and the high ideals of Christianity into practice that are of greater importance than our verbal confession of the faith. (James 2:14-20) GOD hates hypocrisy. Our LORD JESUS CHRIST, quoting the words of Isaiah the Prophet (Isaiah 29:13) said hypocrites draw nigh to GOD with their their mouth, and honour HIM with their lips, but their hearts are far from GOD. Because what they teach as doctrines of GOD are nothing but the traditions, prevailing cultural norms and ideas of men, they worship GOD in vain as their services will not be accepted by GOD. (Mathew 15:8,9) Hypocrites abound in the world today as many people claim to love GOD but in reality, are opposers of righteousness. (Mathew 23:2-5) Moreover, Eliphaz stated: For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery. They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepareth deceit. - Job 15:34,35. {BY GODS GRACE AND POWER}
