THERE IS NO NEED GOING INTO RECONCILIATION IF ONE WILL NOT TAKE CONCESSIONS- Nelson Mandela. Just about a week ago, Senator Ibikunle Amosun went on both print and electronic media begging all Nigerians to help him placate his leader, Aremo Olusegun Osoba. Many Nigerians particularly people of Ogun State were shocked to hear this. They were taken aback because people werent initially in the know of the strain relationship existing between the two gladiators: Amosun and Osoba. Governor Ibikunle Amosun had hitherto informed well meaning Nigerians that there was perfect cordiality existing between the two suspected political foes. But when the cries and rumours of the disaffection between the duo became pronounced, then suspicion reigned in the air and lots of insinuation pervades in the hearts of all politicians. Thereafter, Senator Amosun summoned enough courage to own up that no cordiality any longer exists between him and his leader and therefore appealed to well meaning Nigerians to help him in placating Chief Osoba. Shortly afterwards, reactions trailed Senator Amosuns charge of appeal. Many say its just hypothetical for him to send people to appeal to Chief Osoba, many say he himself should lead in his begging crusade while others follow while the closest people to Chief Osoba: Senators Adegbenga Kaka, Gbenga Obadara and Odunsi have been articulate and vocal in offering a workable panacea towards resolving this existing imbroglio in Ogun APC. They were all resolute in stating what they felt could bring permanent and everlasting solution to the crisis and that will in no time snowball into an era of peaceful coexistence in Ogun APC. Without mincing words and not being economical with the truth, the governor should now come out to react to all the avalanche of conditions reeled out for the amicable resolution of the standing imbroglio. He should tell us how convenient he will be with the terms and conditions offered him, he should inform us how unrealistic and extravagant are all the conditions given him. He should tell us the concessions he will make and his own ground of request. Finally, the governor should tell us how far he has gone in his own bid to placate Chief Osoba.
