THEY ARE FINALLY BUILDING THE NEW DUMP AT ALBURQEQUE. This report came towards the end of January over Kiss FM news. I was glad to hear that the current Mayor of Albur has instituted the project and is letting the development of the site to take place. The disused rock quarry is just an eye sore that was left redundant by the previous council administrations. This was not because there was no money for it, money was available, building of it began years ago while Joe Torralba was the Tagbilaran City Mayor I believe. The corrupt Mayor at Albur, at the time, refused to support the project that was in progress for his own selfish alibi’s. The mass media reported lies to poison the people’s minds against it too which should never have been done. It was money wasted at the time. Nothing was being done about it until lately. The Dampas dump situated locally in our neighborhood cannot take the garbage anymore because of the mountain of trash that must be somehow recycled. The current Tagbilaran Mayor, Dan Lim apparently made a deal with the Mayor of Albur to get the new dump developed since it was partially built years ago. In the mean time, all the garbage being collected by the only two garbage trucks around Tagbilaran City is being temporarily taken to Maribojoc. The people there started complaining about the smell of it, but they were told to shut up and put up because they can’t stop them. Dan Lim made a deal with the Maribojoc Mayor to temporarily bring all the city garbage there where the town will benefit financially as a result. Mayor Lim from Tagbilaran said, compostable garbage like paper, cardboard, food etc can be used as fertilizer for farming, all wood and garden waste can be used for cooking and burning, which in turn makes fertilizer for gardens and other vegetable crops, so they have no reason to complain for.
