THEY THAT KNOW YOUR NAME - March 5th, 2014 Psalm 9:10 (KJV) And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT Trust is a vital element in any thriving relationship, including our relationship with God. Where there is no trust, true intimacy cannot exist; rather there will be suspicion and doubt. Most believers are not enjoying their relationship with God today, because they dont trust God. Although majority of believers confess they believe Him, only very few trust Him. They confess, they believe and trust God, but their actions proof otherwise. Abraham did not just believe the Lord, he trusted the Lord. It is one thing to believe, it is another thing to trust. To abandon everything and everyone, in order to follow another person to a place he promised to show you and give you, takes more than believing, it requires trust. Trust is a function of knowledge. You can only trust a person, to the extent to which you know him. The more you know the Lord, the more you will trust Him. Our doubts in God and His ability can be traced to deficiency, in our knowledge of Him. The Bible says, And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Knowing, is the secret to trust. No one ever puts his trust in a stranger. Do you know Him enough to put your trust in Him? You can start the journey of knowing Him today. The journey begins by seeking Him, in prayer, in the study of the word, in fellowship with men and women that know Him. The more you know Him, the more you will trust Him, and the more shall be your desire to know Him. It is an exciting experience.
