THIS AFFECTS YOU, YES, YOU. via Vote with your pocketbook: This is something that all of us should care about unless you want to lose your freedom altogether and have restrictions placed on your internet service. Protest via internet would no longer be possible. Remember we the people paid for the internets infrastructure and development, not these corporations! This would mean having to pay premiums to go to certain places on the internet, if they allow it at all. It would work closer to the way cable TV does. They could restrict or block sites like Netflix if they felt it conflicted with their interests. When you do a search, they could restrict your results according to what they want you to buy, etc. Websites would be able to pay the ISP for better placement, which means they will be suppressing other options.
