THIS IS A QUESTION TO ALL HOW WANT TO KNOW IT INVOLVES ALL GAMERS!!!! So I saw a video of why people play video games, it was very interesting to me. It talked about the three Core values of gaming. C. Competence: Platformers A. Autonomy: Open World/Adventure R. Relatedness: MMORPG/Multiplayer But let me elaborate on these three cores. Well start with C: Competence or Mastery. Competence is the desire to progress, beating the level or finishing the final boss. Second A: Autonomy. Autonomy is making the player have control in the in game world. For example Mass effect. Mass effect lets you make choices and those choices affect the outcome of the story. Third R: Relatedness. Relatedness is the engagement of other players or a Social experience share by friends. For example Battlefield 4 is a very Social and engaging game. It InCorporate the ability to work together and fight with friends/teammates to finish your objective. Now what Im telling to get across to all of you is what are you?!?!? Are You C. Competence? A. Autonomy? R. Relatedness?
