THIS IS FOR CHRIS: I went for the first time, with another old friend, his best friend, to see Chris. He was the most successful CPA and tax attorney in Dallas. Genius. Very few close friends. How I got to be one of the 3 Musketeers is beyond me, but it was heaven. Lucky girl. Well, Shawn took me to see him yesterday. It was an amazing thing. Still eloquent, charming,...knowledgable,..just doesnt know where he is, but hes made it his own. Dementia runs in his family, but this is not supposed to happen at 62. I always thought we were the same age. Nope, ten years older. Looked fantastic, embraced me. Listen folks, I sat yesterday between two of the proudest men, great friends a girl could know. It was an amazing moment, another part of our journey of friendship and love. I love you Chris. 1986 Chris took me to lunch one day in his new Mercedes. Very humble man but in control of EVERYTHING and everyone,...and for some reason I remember that moment. Probably because it was the single time I was with Chris without Shawn. This song was playing, we were singing and headed toward the Dallas skyline for a downtown lunch. I will never forget that day. He can only have certain items in his room now, rules and safety,...but for our next visit, Im going to ask Shawn if we can take this. He walked us out into his group space to show us the coolest thing,..a large wooden case with baby birds,..for them to watch and a sitting area. To show us this, youd think we were touring his palatial home (gone) in which he had a hydraulic train running throughout the house, then out and over the bridge over his pool. Magical,...all gone. While showing me the tiny birds, there was an old fashioned radio replica with music playing. He turned to me an said,...Now Janie,...this is fantastic music, what I like about it is they play 70s and 80s,...do you like it? I said, Yes Chris,...I like it very much. J *Please listen to this song and remember Chris. You didnt have to know him personally. He was grand.
