THIS IS IT FOLKS, ELECTION DAY! THE END OF VIB POLITICS IN VALLEJO, CALIFORNIA. THE POLLS ARE OPEN FROM 7AM TO 8PM. WEATHER FORECAST SUNNY AND CLEAR. NO REASON NOT TO GO OUT AND VOTE AND TAKE VALLEJO BACK FROM THE VIB COUNCIL MAJORITY! The idea of a bullet vote for the VIB candidates is being batted about on the VIB website. The premise would be to vote for Schivley for the 2 year seat and only vote for Meissner and Meitzenheimer for the four year seats, intentionally not voting for the third 4 year open seat. Even if this occurs and every single VIB voter followed suit,there are still not enough VIB voters to elect any of their candidates. VIB is finished and they are in denial about it. But the grim reality will come for them a s a tsunami sized shock wave Election Day. Here are the facts: There are not enough VIB supporters to elect ANY of their candidates. Over 3000 new voters have registered since the last election, the majority are African Americans and other minority groups, who are aligned behind the Jump Start slate. So, even if every VIB supporter votes it will still spell defeat. There is no argument or debate that will change enough voters minds into not voting for the Jump Start Slate, because as the VIB supporters are solidly behind their candidates, so are the Jump Start supporters,solidly behind the Jump start candidates. There is no October Surprise or hidden political time bomb that will go off and change things, because as I said, both sides are solid with their support of their candidates. The new ploy of voting for a GQ slate where people dont vote for VIB or Jump Start candidates and vote instead for Johnson, Mapalo, Blackwell and Platzer was thought up by VIB as a crap shoot to lure people away from voting for the Jump Start slate. Very bad idea, because it also has the potential to draw a handful of undecided voters, away from voting for VIB candidates. Crumrines attack against Tony Summers = FAILED! Attacks against Malgapo = FAILED! Attacks against Dew = FAILED! Attacks against Aliga = FAILED! Attacks against me, J.T. Miller,Jon Riley = FAILED! We saw a new VIB attack every day, in a desperate attempt to sway the voters. It didnt work, despite the psyche job they believe they pulled off. When are you all going to wake up and realize, it doesnt matter what VIB says any more, it doesnt matter who VIB runs for office any more. So what we do is hold until tonight when the next wave will start after the election, where for a short time we will hear the moans and whines of the VIB supporters as it finally sinks in that they have been dealt a historic and resounding loss....
