THIS IS MY LAST ELECTION POST (Applause). I kept my promise to run a “pure” election by avoiding traditional electioneering methods (lawn signs, flyers, letters, etc.), and to put faith in my credentials, my reputation in the community, and my work over the past decade representing the Borough. Although BOE elections are SUPPOSED to be “non-political,” my opponent is undeniably supported by the Ocean County Democrats. Im not blaming him at all for using their support, thats the game and I get it. It looks to me that they’ve spent about $10,000 on this non-political election using end the Ritacco era as their mantra. Folks, THE RITACCO ERA IS OVER REGARDLESS OF WHO WINS TODAY. Ask yourself: “Why would a political party spend that kind of money for a seat on the volunteer BOE?” The answer is, the party in power gets to dole out the jobs. Thats it. No mystery. So, with this in mind, I’m hoping that Pine Beach voters will see through the smoke and VOTE FOR THE PERSON MOST QUALIFIED FOR A SEAT ON THE BOARD and not for the person with MOST FINANCIAL SUPPORT FROM A POLITICAL PARTY.
