THIS IS TERRIBLE. This is the single most disturbing act by the Australian government. In order to pass legislation including TPVs and other refugee reforms that give more power to the Minister for Immigration, Morrison told cross bench senators he would only let children out of detention if they passed this bill (thats like saying I wont let the children out if you dont do as I say) The phone number of senator Ricky Muir was even given to children in detention and they called him to beg him to let them out! This is disgusting! Both sides of politics have had terrible refugee policies but this is a new low. Using children as hostages and bargaining chips for political leverage in order to grab more power... Thats the worst. The video is long but the first 6 minutes or so give a good general idea of this atrocity. I encourage anyone who has read this far to watch the video. If someone else posted this, I wouldnt believe them. But its true. Are we a nation that doesnt care about human life? The entire world has a refugee crisis and this is how Australia chooses to respond. If you voted for the Nationals or the Liberal party in the federal election last year, this is on you. Good job.
