THIS WAS AND REMAINS MY LETTER TO MY SENATOR ON THE 14TH DAY OF JANUARY,2014,AFTER THE COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE, RUMUOLA SAGA . I WANT YOU TO READ IT CAREFULLY AS I WILL SOON DO ANOTHER LETTER TO HIM TOUCHING OUR COLLECTIVE FUTURE..... LETTER TO MY DISTINGUISHED SENATOR MAGNUS ABE My Senior, I greet you from my heart with mixed feeling. Feeling of Joy and Excitement that GOD spared your Life and you are alive and not dead. On the other hand, feeling of Sober Reflection for the Future. As you may know, I do not belong to any Political Party. In that light I was not around the neighbourhood of the College of Arts and Science, Rumuola, my Alma mata on that defining Sunday, the 12th instant that almost ended on a sad note of you having a handshake with eternity but for GOD’s kindness and intervention. I have read several versions of what happened and possibly did not happen from the internet warriors. In all, I thank GOD that you “did not die there”. I hope that you aware that some persons died there? Matters Arising… Senior; by the cosmetic comments on the matter from the Senate, where you currently represent me and others, it is clear that the House would have gone head-business as usual. In fact, the house would have been in a hurry to replace you so as to continue with matters of serious urgent importance, which is the monthly sharing of the free oil revenue from the minorities. Do not be surprised that some of them from the other side would have been glad that one person from the antagonistic minority area questioning OUR FRAUDULENT FEDERALISM anchored on monthly sharing of Oil money without work, has gone for good. I have not even heard what the Chief Executive has said on the matter, who was NOT YET ON GROUND when you benefitted hugely from the unfriendly Federal Gas[tear-gas] from the Police. Senior, like joke, like joke, that could have been the end of your career/activities on this side of eternity. I thank GOD sincerely that you did not die. This is because feelers getting to me I indicate that IGNORANCE and its friend, ILLITRACY were already at work. Your lovers were already up against your perceived Political enemies even at your own very home town, BERA. As you know, in our place, nobody dies without somebody being responsible, which is the product of Ignorance and Illiteracy. I am even sure that those that questioned you, in your capacity as our Ultimate Political Representative for now, about the Gokana/Khana Model Secondary Schools, the Kpopie/Bodo Road among other developmental issues, would have been marked for elimination or held responsible for your untimely death. That would have been the Gift of Ignorance and Illiteracy. That is how DANGEROUS and DEADLY Ignorance and Illiteracy can be and it is certainly BAD for all of us as a people. Further, on Tuesday, the 13th instant, I am aware that there was a Protest, which graduated to Riot along Eleme/Khana/Eket Road wherein a lot of Hardship was done to Cars and innocent travelers. Most of the visitation of indignity was caused by the Ignorant and Illiterate ones among us. Thank GOD you did not die as such naked Anger and even THREAT of bombing of Police on Radio Programmes would have achieved nothing. Senior, can you see the TALE OF HORROR that your death would have caused to those who elected you to serve them and to bring the good Life of Government to them???? Solutions…Senior, I am happy you did not die. I am persuaded that GOD allowed what happened to you to occur to WAKE YOU UP TO YOUR REAL RESPONSIBILITIES TO US AS A PEOPLE rather than listening to the few self-centered personalities hanging around you with LIES for what they will Eat and Drink and not for the FUTURE. And so, it is a time for SOBER REFLECTION of What YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN REMEMBERED FOR IF GOD, THE CENTER REFEREE OF LIFE, HAD NOT EXTENDED TIME BY SAVING YOUR LIFE??? Not long ago, one of us [Lawyers], Joy Yorwika,Esq, the HYPREP Chair-person survived a Car crash along East/West Road. Perhaps GOD brought her back to complete the strategic Mile 30 Biara/Kibangha Road in the Gokana Local Government Area presently abandoned by her company. Senior, there may be REASONS why GOD spared your Life. Perhaps for you to CONFRONT and FIGHT the IGNORANCE and ILLITERACY that would have caused further avoidable Death and Destruction of Properties of your PERCEIVED ENEMIES. The only WEAPON I know is QUALITY EDUCATION. And so, WHEN IS THE GOKANA/KHANA MODEL SECONDARY SCHOOLS STARTING or Who is the Owner of the Private Firm to which both Gokana and Khana Model Secondary Schools were Awarded???? Senior, Please, YOU MUST USE YOUR POSITION TO ENSURE THAT THE SAAKPEENWAA/BORI/KONO ROAD IS GIVEN TO RCC for a Perfect job. OGONIS Deserve Good Things. WE MUST NEVER SUFFER ANOTHER KPOPIE/BODO ROAD EXPERIENCE. Senior, this incident is a REMINDER that Death is around us like our shadow. May GOD Grant you WISDOM that you will be AGGRESSIVE at Doing Maximum Quality Good that will put you on the MIND of your people long after you have gone like KEN SARO-WIWA and your Senior in Politics, Hon. Timothy Naakuu Paul Birabil, Amen! May GOD Grant you WISDOM to know those who do not mean well for you and your people politically, who hang around you for your destruction, and the GRACE to deal with them Carefully,Amen. I will continue to tell you the TRUTH in line with our Calling of GIVING VOICE TO THE VOICELESS: THIS IS THE DUTY OF LAWYERS… “Lawyers are different folk. We are TRAINED to think differently. The concepts of LIBERTY and JUSTICE are on our Minds. Obviously, Lawyers are not the only people who want to change the world, but we may be the only people who recognize that LASTING and JUST CHANGE MUST be consistent with the Rule of Law. I have come to realize that WITHOUT Lawyers, the fight for Justice would have been lost long ago. WE HAVE A SACRED DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTINUE WHAT AT TIMES MAY SEEM AN UPHILL BATTLE. WE Lawyers are PROBLEM SOLVERS. We give people Hope; We give people their lives back. We SPEAK for those who would otherwise have NO VOICE. We serve our Communities, We represent the Law and we are the KEY to a just Society” –President, American Bar Association,2013. Welcome Senior!
