THIS happened just now... Client: I dont know how you do it. I mean I love shopping for my home and making it beautiful and it really helps to have you steer me in the right direction and keep me on task. But, I couldnt do what you do with other people. The OLD me would have said: Aw, its nothing. I love what I do! (Which equals false-humility and de-valuing my services.) But, the TODAY me said: Thank you. Its my gift...and its my pleasure to help you make wise choices and create a home that you will love for years to come. (Which equals me owning my gifts, true humility, and showing my value.)
