THIS is so TRUE! My children and I have been talking about this for years! My oldest son uses social media to mainly keep in communication with friends outside of VA and to post common interests as far as music/life/and permaculture/gardening issues with good friends but still hates social media and knows it is ruining the world. My younger son hardly ever goes on...just checks in from time to time because he hates all the superficial stuff. It really is hard to watch the young people trying to outdo the next and it really becomes difficult to stomach the next selfie!!! (They just dont have a clue!) My daughter hardly ever used fb in college but used twitter for a while because that is where the smart people were... My daughter said she is getting rid of fb as soon as she has some time to sit down and figure out how to get her pictures off of it but isnt among her priorities for sure. My children have also put down their phones and hardly ever use them for anything other than music. I am so happy that my children know whats REAL and have managed to stay grounded through all these years and stay true to themselves. I personally have changed my outlook on it all too! Enough said...Im going to go paint a picture! Have a wonderful day and stay true to yourselves...:)
