THOSE WHO SAY THAT JONATHAN HAS DONE NOTHING FOR NIGERIA SHOULD BE PITIED....... (WORDS OF A LOYAL GEJ MAN) DO YOU AGREE? Odenigbo Chidi Anyaeche Ndubuisi Ekomaru @:Chris O. Nwaorah] Chris Sesan Daniel Ike Nzeribe Enzo Uzordimma Davidolf Abiona Kay Bee, please tag others. My long response: Solomon Etim that Awolowo was not visionary or did not diagnose part of our problems well will be an attempt by anyone to disrespect the supreme thoughts of a selfless intellectual and nationalist whose only preoccupation was the good of his country. So he was absolutely right and we must continue to appreciate him. That GEJ motivated by personal interest being mainly his despotic desire to hold on to power at all costs has not been over compensating the North with money belonging to all of us instead of making those holding back the destiny of other innocent Nigerian children and who have taken and continue to spend money belonging to the children as though it is their own solely is absolutely true. This is nothing to be proud of because he cannot cure a 1m year old trouble of one part of Nigeria while ignoring the rest who have done nothing wrong. That some architects of discord who sensed his weakness have not taken advantage of it and seized the opportunity to make life hell in Nigeria will be fallacious too because in order to embarrass him they have architected and masterminded the biggest violent assault on innocent Nigerians and democracy at peace time and will continue to fearlessly do so because GEJ has not shown leadership but has instead continued to cower to their madness and intimidation because he wants their votes. The price for our failure to listen to Awolowo, other eminent scholars and nationalists cannot be under estimated but there is no justification for the lack of decisive response which would have exposed the evil architects of the attacks. This would have helped GEJ to make Nigeria a safe place to live in. But he has failed. Awolowo spoke but we did not listen. We are paying the price now. Many Nigerians and I are speaking now but others are choosing deafness inspired by greed and inherited prejudices over action . Nigeria will pay in future but history will not forget that we saw and spoke but were ignored. That corruption is not endemic in Nigeria or that it started with GEJ is fallacious too. But that it is now under control due to GEJs concerted commitment to ridding Nigeria of corruption will be an attempt by anyone to openly embarrass themselves and mock the intelligence of Nigerians. It is indeed the case that corruption has reached epidemic proportion under this administration and GEJ has done more damage than good by protecting the perpetrators of the malaise within his cabinet. Other than the desire not to offend in order to continue to get their support, I cannot see any other genuine reasons why he has done nothing. Look at that nonsensical lame excuse about buying arms with $93m & now stoves for people who cannot buy food. Sol my brother how do you explain this to the many unemployed youth, hungry and dying Nigerians? Solomon, I often laugh reading some of your comments about why GEJ is the best but in order not to offend or cause more troubles I say nothing. I am pleased that these young people who obviously love and respect you for the intelligent man you are have nicely expressed their disappointment that in the face of the damning failures of GEJ you are still calling for people to support him. Their voices are the voices of many Nigerians which many selective tribe centric Nigerians and religious bigots always ignore. So I think that it is time to begin to look inwards and be sure that you are not misplacing your support. GEJ is the president of all Nigerians not of the north only. Education of the north only is not the only problem we have in Nigeria today. If he fails to address the troubles of this generation just like leaders of the feudal and modern north failed to heed Awolowos warnings, his failure to fix our other numerous problems will come back to hunt generations after all of us. We therefore need to face the truth and boot out GEJ or forever regret our failure to wrestle him out and save our childrens future. I rest my case.
