THREDBO TO KHANCOBAN: One lane of Alpine Way has temporarily reopened between just west of Thredbo and just south of Khancoban in the Snowy Mountains after a recent rock fall. Motorists travelling in both directions can pass the site of the rock fall under alternating (stop/slow) conditions. The lane will remain open until 10am Tuesday 8 October, when the road will close again so repair work can continue.
