THRIVE: E = EVOLVE EVERYDAY ................................................ Damnit! Why dont they just adapt? You probably have/have had a boss that just doesnt seem to get it. They just dont seem to want to evolve to the times and stop Cc-ing, Bcc-ing you on all their emails. Your inbox is BLOWING up, and your phone/computer chimes...you react...bam! Another one! You die a little more on the inside. Ugh. In all fairness, you recognize that email was a more efficient method than snail mail...and your boss is only doing it to keep you in the loop. Simultaneously...you want to hang yourself it. On the other end of the line, your boss is sitting there. Frustrated. Wondering where the hell your reply is. This is the story of managers and employees the planet around...everyday. Little dings of frustration. Constant. The SOLUTION: Evolution. In this relationship someone needs to EVOLVE. You need to WAKE UP to the fact that this incessant trickle of cortisol inducing mostly unnecessary email is killing you. You need to SPEAK UP as the Enterprise Entrepreneur you are and lead the evolution of something better. Pick up the damn phone and call the email blaster...turn 15 mins of email into a 60 second phone call. YOULL BLOW THEIR MINDS! Probably even get a promotion. Whatever the problem (too much email, conflict, lagging biz, etc) GET BUSY Evolving! Or you could continue to merely survive Millennial. Its up to you. #survivalisdead #thrivetoday
