THURSDAY OCTOBER 3, 2013 SPEAKING THE LANGUAGE OF HEAVEN. “AND ALL THINGS, WHATSOEVER YE SHALL ASK IN PRAYER, BELIEVING, YE SHALL RECEIVE” MATTHEW 21:22 BIBLE READING: MATTHEW 8:5-10 Our father in the Lord, Rev. M.R. Popoola shared his experience in Europe at one time to show the importance if speaking the right language in the right place. He had asked for rice at a restaurant in Italy during a conference, but the problem was they did not know what he wanted, although he kept saying, ‘rice’. He had to purchase a dictionary to know what Italians called rice, then he found out rice is rise in Italy! Overcoming language barrier is one hurdle one must overcome to speak with people of a different language. Then, how do you communicate with heaven in the language of heaven? Speaking in tongues does not amount to speaking the language of heaven, dry fasting is not the language of heaven. Faith is the language of heaven; the centurion knew this and got the desired miracle for his servant. Myriads of people cry in prayer everyday, but in vain, since there is no communication with heaven. Heaven hears only noise, but no word of faith in their expressions. The centurion proved that you need not spend long hours in prayer on a particular issue if you speak in faith. Exercising faith in the name of Jesus Christ is the key that unlocks heaven, once you live obediently in Christ, heaven cannot ignore you and your requests.
